This is the first year of DOWNEY Cup - generously sponsored ( $5000 ) by Mr. Bob Downey and Mrs. Nancy Downey. There were over 145 players participated in Men's Single, Men's Doubles, Women Singles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Double and Junior Single games! Proximal thousand games were played from Friday (6/27/08 ) to Sunday ( 6/29/08 ).
The Events were named and awarded under:

BOB DOWNEY Cup ( all men's events )
NANCY DOWNEY Cup ( all women's events )
ADELAIDE ADAMS Cup ( all mixed events and Junior events )
