The Woodbury Jewish Center is a conservative synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of America. Created in 1989, the first new conservative synagogue in Nassau County in a generation, the Woodbury Jewish Center is home to a vibrant and growing congregation of over 400 families. In 2002, just ten years after the completion of our original building, we completed an expansion which provides enlarged facilities for our superb nursery and religious schools, as well as a Youth Chapel and additional space for celebration of simchas. This expansion, a project that we named "L'Dor V'Dor" (from generation to generation), is itself an enduring expression of our commitment to grow with the needs of our congregation and community, and to be a leading Jewish institution on Long Island. - To add photos of WJC events please email Dr. Richard Weledniger - rmw5@nyu.edu
