On Tuesday 27th January the 'Shakespeare for Kidz' drama group came to Heathcote to run a workshop based on a full performance of 'Romeo and Juliet'. The children took part in all aspects of the play; they particularly enjoyed the fact that there was a 'lot of modern' language and even some 'modern dancing' (Madagascar style!)
This activity was run as an enhancement to Form V's current study of Shakespeare during which they have written their own sonnets and will be visiting the 'Cliffs Pavilion' in Southend next week to watch Romeo and Juliet as performed by the 'Shakespeare for Kids' theatre company.
