Ray Thompson's Albums > BC attends ClaviVoce
For the second time, our Old Bible Chair Friends Fellowship have gathered to visit and attend the amazing ClaviVoce concert produced by the Doug & Janet Pummill family. We met first at a nearby barbeque resturant for an hour of visiting, before the concert. The concert was held in the beautiful auditorium of Duncanville, Texas High School, and the attendance from the community was excellent. Turns out that Doug attended Duncanville HS back in the 50's, so this was a homecoming for him.

We all remember Doug from our days at the Bible Chair, and have come to know his wife Janet and their three talented daughters. The program was half classical and half popular as we saw before, but with different selections. It is unbelievable to see four professionals from the same family, Janet (mom), Sallie, Amy and Julie playing classical piano on four full-sized grand pianos! Of course, they all sing also! The featured artist was Rebecca Pitcher, a daughter-in-law! Doug was not on the program, but we all cheered like mad when he came out to greet the audience and sing one old love song for us... (that I knew so well but now can't remember the title!) Most us remember Doug's Mother, who is always present when her family performs... she will be 100 years old next year, and she was sitting on the front row!
