| My day out to the Globe Theatre and the Golden Hinde. By Max M.
We started at Chelmsford Station and then went to the platform and got hot chocolate. We then went on the train off to London with our unfinished hot chocolates.
It roughly took half an hour to get to London. We then went onto three black taxis and then we were at the Globe theatre.
An actor, Colin, took us to the rehearsal stage to do some acting of Romeo and Juliette. Then Colin showed us the real Globe theatre. It was bigger than I had imagined and had a thatch roof.
We went for a walk after lunch in the direction of the Golden Hinde. We passed the Clink museum on the way and saw the gibbet outside where criminals used to be hung in public. Mrs. Norton and my mum went on the Golden Hinde as well. Sailor Ian took us around the ship and was very funny!! We went on the poop deck, in the Captain’s room, the sailors’ room, the cannon deck and many more. The Golden Hinde was my favourite part of the day. We then went by bus to Liverpool Street station and had a drink in MacDonalds before boarding the train home.
