Here's a great moment from the closing night of "Hereafter" featuring the entire cast. This shot was taking by one of New York's best photographers Vito Catalano
Meet the cast and creative team from the New York "Herefafter" August 2010 showcase; Vinnie Favale [Book, Music, Lyrics] - Frankie Keane [Book, Additional Music, Lyrics, Anita] - Deborah Tranelli [Sypie] - Pierce Cravens [Eddie] - Ilene Grossman [Ana] - John Moss [Jason] - Shea Hess [Debbie] - Carolyn Mignini [Mary] - ...Alma Cuervo [Christina] - Sandra Keel Huff [Marcia, Choir], Andrea Andert [Marcia, Choir], Jenna DiMartini [Choir], Don Johanson [Reader] and Bill Hindin [Musical Director]
"Prologue into Life & Death" w Frankie, Deborah, Shea, Dani, Karen & Bill. [This song is sung by the women; Mary, Christina & Debbie, the psychic Jason and his assistant Marcia]
"How Will They Remember Me" w Frankie, Deborah, Shea & Bill. [This song is sung by the women; Mary, Christina & Debbie]
"Talk To Me" with Dani. [This song is sung by the psychic medium Jason]
"Nineteen" with Scoop & Dani. [This song is sung by Eddie, the spirit Mary's son who died thirty years ago at the age of nineteen.]
"Take My Life" w Ilene & Dani. [This song is sung by the spirit of the Christina's daughter Ana who committed suicide three years ago.]
"Larger Than Life w Frankie & Bill. [This song is sung by the spirit of Anita, a B movie icon who died fifty years ago and was the love of Jason's life.]
"Lost" with Shea & Dani. [This song is sung by Debbie about her late mom Sypie.]
This is still a work in progress version of "Toe Tag Tango". This was our very first pass at the song. We need to work out the back ups, add the call and response at the end and the dialogue in the middle. Plus there's lots more instrumentation including castanet's...not to mention that one person tango dance that we've created [almost].
"Goodbye" w Frankie, Deborah, Shea & Dani. [This song is sung by the three women meeting with the psychic; Mary, Christina & Debbie].
"Someday" w Frankie, Carol, Karen, Sandy & Bill. [This song is sung by Marcia [who is an Angel] along with Anita.]
This is the studio demo for "Waiting". It was late and we were tired and rushed...but it's not a bad first pass at the demo. You have to imagine in the show that this song starts with the four spirits singing the first part...then they harmonize as their living counterparts sing the second part. All eight of them sing the third part together.
"That's My Life" w Deborah, Frankie & Bill. [This song is sung by the spirit of Sypie, Debbie's mom].
"Rest In peace [Reprise]" Frankie, Alan & Dani. [This song is sung by Anita]
"Hereafter" Deborah, Frankie & Dani. [This song is sung by the four spirits; Sypie, Anita, Eddie & Ana]
Rehearsals at Lowe Room for our Act 1 reading in October 2009 [to the music of "Life & Death"]
This slide show commemorates a burst of creativity over a three day period in July '09 when Frankie and I work shopped and demoed three songs at Uptime Studios. It's to the music of our song "Someday" which was one of the three songs we recorded.
This is a slideshow I made commemorating a HUGE week in the development of Hereafter. At this point Frankie had been on board for three moths and it was clear to me that she was becoming a full partner on the show. I had set up a two week music workshop at Shetler Studios in August '08 during my Letterman vacation weeks. I had just met this amazing singer Francesca Vannucci that I wanted to work with on some songs as well as a highly recommended piano player Bill Hindin. What stated out as a work shop for one or two songs became a musical summer camp. We finished five demos. Frankie and I cemented our creative partnership. brought Bill on as our musical director and we all fell in love with Francesca...I'd say that was a pretty good two weeks! The music is the beautiful instrumental track that Dani Donadi and I worked on during those same two weeks.
"The Heart & Soul" w Frankie, Francesca & Bill. [This song is sung by the characters Jason & Anita.]
This is a music video I made using old video clips matched up to "Better Off Dead".

"Take My Life [Live]" - Ilene Grossman [Ranney School on 12/20/09] - One of the highlights at our Ranney School concert this past December was Ilene Grossman's performance of "Take My Life" with Frankie Keane's vocal arrangements, Scoop Slone's back up and Bill Hindin on piano. While the arrangement for this number is for a full band set up, I think this simple piano/ vocal performance rivals the studio version as my favorite.
