Recently forms 4&5 went to Windsor Castle. We got on the bus at 7:45 and drove for 2 hours and finally made it to Windsor Castle. Did you know that on weekends the Queen lives in Windsor Castle? First we went to an education centre, got a wristband so we could get in. We went to the visitors’ entrance and in there was the Queen’s cat. Someone in form 4 called Rory took a picture of it. We went past security and went up The Long Path finally making it. We went through this small entrance to Queen Mary’s doll house which is huge. went out and made our way to the State Apartments. They were covered in gold and there was armour everywhere. I was in heaven. Then we heard the Queen was coming out to go to open a store. We ran to the gate and we saw her and she waved to us. We were so happy that she did that we carried on with the tour and went back to the education centre to have our lunch. I finished my lunch and outside was the Queen back from the store opening. After we went to this other room to talk to a woman about what we have been learning in history. We finished that and went to St George’s Chapel. It was beautiful and we saw where the Queen’s mother and father are buried. We went to the bus got in and made our way back to Heathcote School.
