Women Philanthropists for KU met Jan. 9 in Spooner Commons for an advisory board meeting, followed by the program, "The Stars of KU." The event included presentations from KU faculty and students. Speakers included Michael Wehmeyer, professor of special education and executive director of KU Center on Developmental Disabilities; Marilu Goodyear, associate professor and department chair of KU's Department of Public Administration; David Guth, associate dean and associate professor, School of Journalism, and Ted Frederickson, professor of journalism. The mission of WP4KU is to encourage women to support the University of Kansas through their philanthropy and leadership, and to explore ways to address the interests of women donors through KU Endowment.
