Members of KU's premier giving organization, the Chancellors Club, gathered Oct. 24-25 for the 31st annual celebration. Friday evening's activities included a reception at Spencer Museum of Art, followed by dinner in Kansas Union's ballroom. Honored guests included Val Stella, who received the Chancellors Club Career Teaching Award, and Carol Smith, who received the Chancellors Club Research Award. Also honored were KU's 16 Chancellors Club Scholars. Internationally renowned opera singer and KU voice professor Joyce Castle entertained guests with songs by Rodgers and Hart. KU's Marching Jayhawks made a guest appearance, playing the Alma Mater. The next morning, the celebration continued with a pre-game brunch before KU's homecoming game against Texas Tech.
